Configuring Users in maestro*CLOUD

Objective

The objective of this document is to list the steps required to configure user accounts and give these users an access to maestro*CLOUD.

This document is intended for the person who will be in charge of creating the accounts for his company's users.

Prerequisites

  • Configured SMTP Email Account (General Settings > Miscellaneous)

Summary

Steps

Access maestro*CLOUD

  1. First access the https://maestro.maestrocloud.com website;
  2. Enter the username and the password;

Login details have already been provided by Maestro to the initial user, in charge of creating the accounts for his company's users.

  1. Click Sign in;
  2. On the My Applications page, click Maestro;
  3. Maestro* opens in the browser.

Once he is connected to the CLOUD, a user will not have to log in again in maestro* because authentication is automatically propagated.

Configure a user account

At least two elements of a user account need to be configured:

maestro* > Maintenance > General Maintenance > Processing > Security Management

maestro* > Toolbar > Configuration Icon > Security Management

Add a User and Configure its User Code

To use maestro*CLOUD, the user code must match the email address:

  1. Click New;
  2. In the Identification section, enter a user Name;
  3. Under the Description tab, locate the User Information section;
  4. Fill the User Code field with the user's email address;

If the user code is not a valid email address, maestro* will display a warning message.

  1. Select a group in the User Group field;
  2. Save the changes.

The User Code (which is also the userʼs email address) is automatically copied by maestro* in the User field of the User-Specific Email Configuration section.

Configure Email

Maestro*CLOUD is integrated with Outlook, which allows users to send emails directly from maestro*. Some settings must previously be configured:

The password configured in the User-Specific Email Configuration section is used to send emails through the Outlook-maestro* integration. This password should not be confused with the password required to access maestro*.

  1. When creating a new user, locate the User-Specific Email Configuration section of the Description tab;
  2. The user's email address has been automatically entered in the User field by the maestro* (it derives from the User Code field);
  3. Assign a password to the user;

It is not necessary to assign a password to the users at this time: they can use the Preferences option later on to modify it (see next section).

  1. The rest of the fields in this section are automatically completed with the server parameters (defined in the Configuration of the SMTP email account, under the Miscellaneous tab of the General Settings;
  2. If needed, send test email using the option provided for this purpose;
  3. Save the changes.

Change password

maestro* > Maintenance > General Maintenance > Processing > Preferences

maestro* > Toolbar > Configuration Icon > Preferences

  1. Under the Email tab, locate the Management of my Account section;
  2. Enter a new password;
  3. Confirm the password;
  4. Save the changes.
