Changes to Government Tables Effective July 1, 2018

Varennes, June 2018

As published by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in the T4127 Payroll Deductions Formulas guide, available on the CRA website, changes to income taxes were announced for the province of Prince Edward Island: the basic personal amount will increase to $8,660 for taxation year 2018.

Other modifications based the Ontario budget initially submitted on March 28, 2018, were also planned. However, the provincial government officials have recently reported that the new Ontario government does not intend to go forward with the changes to the personal income tax rates, income thresholds, and surtax.

This maestro*EXPRESS has been modified accordingly before being sent.

It is the users’ responsibility to validate the appropriate rates and numbers and stay current on any subsequent change; verifying the data entered in maestro* is therefore recommended. The various rates and amounts contained in this document are provided strictly for information purposes.
