Integrate Total Project Logistics (TPL) into maestro*

Estimate or Financial project follow-up Structures

The financial and budget structure of a project monitored by maestro* differs from the structure used to define the costs during the estimating process. When doing an estimate, the project is structured according to the client’s demands, usually based on progress billing articles, and it is a lot more detailed than the financial structure where costs of the same nature are standardized and grouped together.

Let’s say a hydraulic excavator is required for the whole duration of the project. During the estimate, we’ll write on the progress billing how long every article has been used or the duration of every activity. For the financial structure, all this information will be put together in a single activity, “Hydraulic Excavator Costs” for instance. This activity will include all operating costs like the fuel consumption, the operator’s wage, maintenance and repairing costs, etc.

For the budget estimated by maestro* to be transferred, a link between the structure used for the project’s estimate and the one for the financial follow-up has to be established from the option RBS Association in the estimating module of Total Project Logistics.

Equivalences can be established between Total Project Logistics and maestro*. Refer to Total Project Logistics’ documentation for more information.
