Adding a service call form maestro*MOBILE

Objective

This How-To discusses the configurations that need to be done so that authorized technicians can use maestro*MOBILE and its Service interface to add unplanned service calls; that is service calls that the dispatchers have not assigned themselves through the main ERP platform.

The feature addresses the need that sometimes arises on work sites when technicians who are already on location are called over by a new customer and asked on the spur of the moment to perform a job. If technicians have enough spare time they use this feature to log the unexpected work.

To access this feature mobile users can simply press the Unplanned progress bar on the Service page of maestro*MOBILE and press the button Add a Service Call. If the button is not available; technicians can simply call the office and ask that a new service call be assigned and dispatched (and most likely, that a new contract be created). Furthermore, technicians can still share the work opportunity with the dispatcher by making use of the interface Recommendations.
