Maestro*MOBILE Barcode Scanner Requirements

Printers

  1. Generally, inkjet printers cannot accurately print barcodes because the splattering ink distorts the barcode. Between several printer possibilities, always choose a laser printer.
  2. Printers used for barcodes should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at least.

font

Maestro*MOBILE application can read barcode fonts of the following type:

  • Free 3 of 9
  • 128 Large
  • Code 39
  • Code 93

The only barcode font that can be used in the forms generated by maestro* is the Free 3 of 9 font.

paper

The paper should be white to enhance the contrast with the black barcodes. Additionally, a highly glossy paper is not recommended to avoid light reflection.

resolution

The printing resolution should be 300 dpi or higher to obtain the best printing results.

printing

  1. Allocate enough space around the barcode.
  2. Comply with the black/white contrast: only use white paper and black ink; do not use any other colours.
