Maestro*MOBILE - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Objective

This document is here to answer your most frequently asked questions concerning problems with maestro*MOBILE. The FAQ is in constant evolution.

 

Summary

 

I cannot log in to maestro*MOBILE.

First make sure to have the right username and password.

If you still do not have access to maestro*MOBILE, it may be that the right type of access is not configured for your account. Access types are set up in the Security Management option in maestro* and there are four types available for maestro*MOBILE:

  • Standard Mobile (standard access to the mobile application)
  • maestro* and Mobile Standard (standard access to maestro* and the mobile application)
  • maestro*MOBILE Employee (restricted access to the mobile application)
  • maestro* and maestro*MOBILE Employee (standard access to maestro* and restricted access to the mobile application)

 

I cannot read the barcodes.

There are two reasons that you might not be able to read barcodes:

  1. Unsecured website: maybe the website is not secured (the adresse displays HTTP, it should display HTTPS)
  2. The website is secure but the certificate for the mobule site is invalid.

Call your IT service (or the external firm with which you do business) to fix these problems.

 

I just approved transactions and the software gives me back the error message "Impossible to connect to the server."

If you get the error message "Impossible to connect to the server" when you try to approve transactions, it's that the service has been stopped; you have to restart. Maestro*MOBILE tries to communicate with maestro*.

To solve the problem:

  1. First access the Services window by searching for "Services" in the Windows menu.
  2. Find the Maestro Service service in the list.
    1. If its status is Stopped, make a right-click on the service and select Start.
    2. If its status is Running (the service may be malfunctionning without being stopped), make a right-click on the service and select Restart.

 

I have an error message when I try to add large documents

If you have an error message when you add large documents in maestro*MOBILE, it is possible IIS may not be correctly configured in terms of the size of documents that can be accepted. To solve the problem:

  1. Open the IIS manager by searching for "IIS" in the Windows menu.
  2. In the IIS Manager window, make a double-click on Configuration Editor, Manager section.
  3. In the Section field, select system.webServer, then serverRuntime.
  4. Change the value of the uploadReadAheadSize field. The maximal value is 2,147,483,647.
  5. Click on Apply and close the window.
