Uninstall a Windows Update

Here are the steps describing how to uninstall a Windows update.

 

Be advised that this will require the PC or Server to be rebooted so save all important work and make sure users are disconnected from the server.

Steps

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type Control Panel.
  3. Click on Control Panel.

  1. If the control panel doesn’t show all the options, click View by: and select either Large icons or Small icons in the upper right corner.

  1. Click Programs and Features.

  1. Click on View installed Updates.

  1. Browse to the Microsoft Windows section.

  1. Select the KB number corresponding to your Windows version based on the list below and double click on it.
