Inventory Adjustment
OBJECTIVE
The Inventory Adjustment function is used to correct incorrect inventory quantities. With this option, a manual entry must be made in the general ledger after an adjustment is created.

This option can be used when entering inventory at the outset, when the system is implemented. |

Steps
Making an Inventory Adjustment
- Enter the required information in the Detail tab:
Fields followed by the * character are mandatory fields.
Field
Description
Date*
Date on which inventory is taken.
Reference
Used to identify the inventory adjustment.
Site
Default value used for the adjustment. Available values are from Define Sites.

Description
Inventory Code
Inventory code from Catalogue Management.
Description
Description of the item.
Company
Company at which the item is located.
NOTE: Available in multidimensional mode only.
NOTE: To monitor inventory by company prefix, be sure to make adjustments in the appropriate company.
Unit
Conversion unit.
NOTE: The unit varies based on the factor entered in the item in the Catalogue Management option.
Site
Site on which the item is located.
Location
Where the item can be found on the site.
Characteristic
Item characteristic.
Identification
Item identification.
Reservation No.
Reservation number associated with the item for transactions conducted on this item in the system.
NOTE: The number is displayed automatically if the quantities selected in the Unit field are associated with a reservation number.
NOTE: A reservation can be made manually by entering a number in this field.
Quantity
Quantity for the adjustment.
U.P.
Unit price of the item for the adjustment.
NOTE: Automatic selection of the unit price depends on the configuration in the Selection of UP Adjust and Inventory Transfer field, Inventory section of Configuration.
NOTE: You can change the price displayed by default manually.
U.P. Supp
Supplier's unit price.
NOTE: The unit price is converted according to the supplier factor in Catalogue Management.
Amount*
Value of the adjustment.
NOTE: Items with a fixed cost price of -2 identified in Catalogue Management do not require an amount entered. For these items, the adjustment applies to the quantity.
- Click Save.
- Click Transfer to ensure the adjustment affects quantities in stock.
