Service Equipment Inquiry

OBJECTIVE

The Service Equipment Inquiry option is used to group all information related to a piece of equipment in one location.

This option allows you to display the contracts, calls and visits that are related to the equipment in question. You can also review any maintenance which is related to the equipment.

  • Define Equipment Codes
  • Contract Management
  • Enter a Service Call or Return from a Service Call

 

Steps

 

 

Inquire about a piece of equipment

 

The equipment must first be created in Define Equipment Codes option.

  1. Select an Equipment Code.
  2. View the information available on the equipment.
  3. Upper section: This section contains the information entered in the various fields in the Define Equipment Codes option.

 

All of the fields displayed are described in Define Equipment Codes.

  1. Detail tab: This tab displays the contracts for which the equipment has been entered in the Contract Management tab.

 

By default, the system displays all contracts (active or inactive) to which the equipment is linked. To display active contracts only, check the box provided for this purpose.

You can drill down by double-clicking on a contract so that you can view information from more general to more detailed in Service Contract Inquiry according to your security level.

  1. Material tab: this tab displays material related to the equipment. This information is from the Breakdown section of the Define Equipment Codes.
  2. Maintenance tab: This tab displays maintenance activities and the material linked to the equipment. This information is from Define Equipment Codes option. When you select a maintenance activity, the material required for maintenance is displayed in the Materials section.
  3. Calls section: This section displays the calls for which the user has checked equipment when entering a call. The equipment checked in the call refers to maintenance or repairs that are required.

 

You can restrict the display to calls for a specific contract only by positioning the cursor in the contract code in the upper grid and checking the Display only calls related to the selected contract option.

You can drill down by double-clicking on a call so that you can view information from more general to more detailed in Service Call Inquiry according to your security level.

  1. Visits section: This tab displays visits that are linked to the equipment.

 

To establish the link, the equipment must be selected during the return from a service call in the Equipment tab by checking the Maintenance done in this visit box.

You can restrict the display to view visits for a particular call by placing the cursor in the call number in the Calls section and checking the Display only visits related to the selected call option in the Visits section.
