  1. Verification mode section:

Only one verification method can be selected from among Verify the files structure only, Records read by batch (Quick method), Verify index 0 only or Verify all index.

In the following verification modes: Records read by batch (Quick method), Verify Index 0 only and Verify all index, the system reads all of the records for each of the selected files. The system will compare the number of records read against the expected number of records and report the differences.

Field

Description

Verify the files structure only

The system only checks the file structures without reading the data.

Records read by batch (Quick method)

Used to read multiple records at the same time.

NOTE: The number of records read is determined by the length of the table. The shorter the table (length of a record), the higher the number of records read at the same time. This is the fastest processing method of all the choices.

If you use this verification method, all of the errors in a file may not necessarily be detected.

Verify Index 0 Only

Reads the records once using the 0 index (main index) only.

NOTE: If you use this verification method, all of the errors in a file may not necessarily be detected.

Verify All Index

Reads the records using all indexes.

Ignore version warnings

Ignores files created with a version of Pervasive lower than 8 if the box is checked.
