Using the Inventory-Project Transfer Interface

Objective

The Inventory-Project Transfer interface allows a user to create inventory-project transfer transactions.

 

For example:

  • Preparing stock for specific projects.
  • Preparing the return to inventory of all non-used material on the project.

Steps

Creating a New Inventory-Project Transfer

  1. Firstly, select the Inventory-Project Transfer interface from the maestro*MOBILE menu.
  2. Press on + Create an Inventory-Project Transfer.
  3. By default, the date of the current day is entered as the Transaction Date.
  4. If needed, indicate the transfer Reference.
  5. Select a Project. If a Work Order has already been entered, the associated project is automatically chosen.
  6. In multidimensionnal mode only, indicate the Source company and Target company.
  7. Press on Save.
  8. The transaction form is automatically displayed: adding items and completing a form.

 

Adding Items to an Inventory-Project Transfer

  1. In the Inventory-Project Transfer form, press on Items.
  2. Select an Activity.
  3. Select an Expense group.
  4. Select a Site.
  5. Press on the button and select an addition type: add (standard), add from reservation, or add by scanner.

  1. Press on the Item field. Select an item in the displayed list, using the search field, if needed.
  2. If applicable, press on Inventory Selection to identify inventory items based on their location.
  3. Enter the quantity to add.
 

Depending on the configurations made in maestro*, the quantity can be validated :

  • By available stock quantity
  • By available quantity for a location
  • By available quantity for a site and location

Furthermore, validation can be subject to a simple warning (the user can, therefore, still save the form) or to a complete block (the user will not be allowed to save the form).

Note also that a negative quantity can be entered to return quantities to inventory.

  1. Save the addition of items.
  2. The added items appear under the location fields.

  1. In the search field, enter the reservation number. All items in the reservation are displayed in the list.
  2. Select every item that needs to be transferred.
  3. Press on OK.
  4. The added items appear under the location fields.

  1. Press on the + Bar Code Item Entry button.
  2. Scan a bar code usng the device's camera; the scanned item is displayed in the addition page.
  3. Press on the icon that represents three little boxes to identify items in the inventory based on its location, including reservations.
  4. Enter the quantity to transfer.
  5. Press Save.
  6. The added items appear under the location fields.

 

Completing an Inventory-Project Transfer Already in Progress

  1. If needed, press on Memo to add a memo to the transfre form.
  2. If needed, press Documents/Photos to add pictures or documents to the transfer form.

  1. Press Complete. A warning message appears to indicate that it will be impossible to modify the inventory-project transfer afterwards. Press Yes.
  2. The inventory-site transfer is now displayed in the Completed tab.

 

Viewing a Completed Inventory-Project Transfer

  1. In the Inventory-Project Tranfer's main page, display the Completed tab.
  2. Press on the desired inventory-project transfer to view it.

 

Closing a Transfer Transaction

This last step will be performed by another user in maestro* in order to transfer the transactions and make the inventory transfer official.

Only after this step will the quantities be affected in the inventory.
