Update Installation Procedure of maestro* 3.05

Objective

This document explains how to install an update for maestro* 3.05 SQL. Please note that it only applies to On Premise 3.05 installations.

 

prerequisites

• Work from the server console;
• Download the latest version of maestro* from Guide and place it on the server
• Use an administrator Windows account;
• Use an administrator maestro* account;
• All users must be logged out of maestro*.

 

Steps

Attention! The Maestro Service is automatically stopped (and restarted) during an update. However, you must stop the web service before carrying out the update. Open the Start menu (Windows key on your keyboard). Type Services in the search bar and press Enter. In the Services window, locate the Maestro Web/Winsock service. If present, also locate the Maestro BIJobExecutor service. Right-click on the service and select Stop. After the update, restart the service.

1. Run the file from the latest version downloaded to the server.
2. Follow the steps displayed on the screen, all the while keeping the default parameters.
3. On the server, start maestro* with a maestro* administrator account and launch the progressions.
4. If there are user workstations, log in to maestro* on each one using Windows administrator rights so they update automatically.
