Define Tasks

OBJECTIVE

The Define Tasks option is used to define the tasks to be carried out during Preventive Maintenance. These tasks are defined globally, without linking them to specific equipment.

Create a task

  1. Enter the required information:

 

Fields followed by the * character are mandatory fields.

Field

Description

Task Code*

Code that identifies the task.

French Description

French description that identifies the task.

English Description*

English description that identifies the task.

Estimated Time (hrs)

Used to enter an approximate duration for performing the task.

NOTE: This duration is the displayed by default in Define Maintenance Types and Tasks, but it can be changed. The addition of the duration of each maintenance task makes it possible to estimate the total planned duration for a maintenance task.

PMP

Indicates that the task is part of the Preventive Maintenance program if the box is checked.

NOTE: This identification facilitates searching with the following options: Scheduled Maintenance Management, Generate Work Orders and Define Maintenance Types and Tasks.

Regular

Indicates that the task is part of the regular maintenance program.

NOTE: This identification facilitates searching with the following options: Scheduled Maintenance Management, Generate Work Orders and Define Maintenance Types and Tasks.

Section

Task grouping, when required for printing or displaying work orders.

Sub-Section

Sub-group of tasks when required for the purpose of printing the work order or display.

Notes

Used to enter a note related to the task.

NOTE: These notes can be printed on the work order.

NOTE: They are automatically grouped and copied to the Memo field of each maintenance work order generated with the Generate Work Orders option (for each task that is part of the maintenance in question).

  1. Click Save.
