Delete a Project

OBJECTIVE

The Delete a Project function is used to delete closed projects and cancel the information attached to them, such as activities and expenses.

Maestro* destroys all transactions earlier than the latest financial period of the company and saves transactions for financial years that have not been destroyed.

To properly manage work in progress, it is very important not to delete a project before closing the periods that contain purchases necessary for reversing expenses. Information about the type of project management and the date on which work ends are destroyed when the project is deleted.

Costs can be retrieved from a project as long as they are not dated earlier than the oldest financial period. If so, all transactions related to costs remain accessible and are therefore available to recalculate project costs.

  1. Open a project with the Project Management option using the same number as the one destroyed earlier.
  2. Redefine the same activities or select the same project template.
  3. Run Recalculate Balances on the project.

You will need to contact Maestro Software Support to obtain a password to access this option.
