Configuring an Employee's Access to maestro*MOBILE - Portal Licence

objective

The MOBILE Portal licence allows giving maestro*MOBILE access to employees so they may view their work documents or certificates, modify their personal information, etc., according to the access rights that are given to them.

Everything is planned in maestro* to massively give employees access to the MOBILE Portal; you will find the steps to do so below.

Giving One User Access to the MOBILE Portal

  1. Select and display a user using the Number field in the Identification section.
  2. In the User Information section of the Description tab, find the Access to MOBILE Portal checkbox.
  3. Check the box and Save the changes.

 

Giving Users Mass Access to the MOBILE Portal

  1. Click on the Access Configuration Table icon.
  2. In the window that appears, click on the Mass creation of maestro*MOBILE users icon.
  3. In the Default Values section, select a value in the Use to create a new user code field. Can be selected the Employee Number, Employee Alpha Code, or Email Address.
  4. In the Type of Access field, select the MOBILE Portal value.
 

If the employees to whom we want to give access to the MOBILE portal must not have access to maestro*, only to maestro*MOBILE to view their employee information, it is good practice to create a user group that has access to nothing in maestro* and assign them this group.

  1. If needed, apply Filters.
  2. Click on the Filter Data According to Specified Parameters icon.The employees corresponding to the parameters are displayed in the grid.
  3. Check the Access to MOBILE Portal box, for the relevant employees. If applicable, use the Select All functionality.
  4. Click on Apply.
 

Automatically, the system will create a link between the user, the employee, and the contact. Click on the Contact Management icon to make sure the Employee and User fields are correctly filled in.

  1. In the Description tab, Modify Password section, the Ask the user to choose a new password the next time he logs on box is checked by default. If applicable, uncheck this option to assign a password to the user.
  2. In the Access Companies tab, check the companies to which the user will have access. This operation must be performed manually for all users added in mass.
  3. Click on Save.
