Field Work Orders Page (Field Work Order List)
The first page displayed when opening the Field Work Orders interface provides options that will allow users to add a field work order, view all hours worked during a specific pay period, and see or complete existing field work orders.
+ Add a Work Order
As indicated by the button’s name, this option provides the opportunity to add a new field work order. A user can either create an all new work order, or, to speed up the process, copy the attendance of an existing work order’s resources (Resources), or copy the work order’s resources as well as the hours and bonuses (Resources, Hours and Bonuses), or the resources, the hours and the bonuses, the items to bill and the material.
Work Order Hours Summary
The Work Order Hours Summary screen is a view-only screen. Work orders created by the current user can be filtered by date, by specifying a start and end date.
This page displays hours grouped by employee, in the form of cards. The details of each card include date, work order number, project code, project description, activity, trade, year or level of apprenticeship, annex, rate type, number of hours, and bonuses entered for the work order. Click + to unfold a card and - to close it.
Consult Hours Worked
The Consult Hours Worked option allows users to view their worked hours for a given pay period. Once they press the button, users access the Hours Worked page, where they select the Display Pay Period Starting: from the drop-down list of the same name. The hours worked by the employee are then displayed for each day contained in the pay period, no matter if the hours were for project dispatches, service calls, or field work orders. Worked hours can be seen according to the selected pay period, day, and assignment. It is also possible to look at the assignment’s content by pressing them (read-only mode).
The Approve button allows the user to confirm their hours, which they can see displayed on this page. Approving the hours will generate a form signed by the user (signature from their employee record) and this form will be added to the document management option for this employee.

Field Work Orders Page (Individual Field Work Order)
The Field Work Orders (individual) page was developed using the same template as the Project page (which can be accessed through the interface of the same name). The buttons and options are described below.
Project Identification
The section providing information related to the field work order restates the work order’s short summary.
Take Attendance
This option, also available in the Project interface, enables users to confirm their attendance on the work site. However, in the Field Work Orders interface, it is not necessary to perform this step; creating a field work order implies that users have confirmed their presence. That option therefore defaults to completed and displays 1/1, indicating an employee must be and is present.
Users can still access the option to add other employees, a team, or equipment, to indicate their absence, or to mark them as being unused. The teams, employees, and equipment must have previously been configured in maestro* (using the Security Management option) and users need the appropriate authorizations to add resources in maestro*MOBILE.
Every default equipment specified in an employee file in maestro* and linked to this employee (either default equipment or additional equipment) is displayed when taking attendance or entering time for a field work order. |
Enter Time
Time worked is logged through the Enter Time option. If more employees, teams, or equipment were added using the Take Attendance option, their time must be specified here.
Entering time can be done individually or as a group. Users can also indicate what type of rate it was whether Regular, Overtime, or Double. A bonus or allowance can be added to a field work order even if it does not contain worked hours.
Signature and Complete Buttons
The Signature and Complete buttons enable users to close the field work order in maestro*MOBILE. Depending on the parameters set beforehand, the Signature button may be the only one displayed.
The Signature button brings up the Work Order Summary; a contact name and customer signature are needed to close the work order.
It is also possible to manually enter an email address undert the Signature option.
Pressing the Complete button allows users to close field work order without requiring a signature.
Once completed, the field work order can only be modified in maestro*. |
Other Options on the Page
The options described below are optional as the field work orders can be completed even if they were not viewed or modified.
+ Add a Linked Work Order
The + Add a Linked Work Order button allows users to create an all-new field work order from the data of an ongoing or completed one. At the same time, it links the work orders for billing purposes.
