Enter an Individual Receipt
OBJECTIVE
The Enter an Individual Receipt option is used to enter a receipt linked to a customer that is not set up in the system or tax return.
You can also enter a receipt linked to a customer in the system with this option. This option must not be used if the financial statements are generated by project given that this type of receipt is not linked to a project. |

Steps
Enter an individual receipt
- Enter the required information in the Details tab:
Field
Description
Customer Code
Code from Customer Management.
NOTE: When you select a customer code, the customer's contact information is displayed automatically.
Individual Customer
Used to enter contact information for a customer that is not set up in the system if the box is checked.
NOTE: If an existing customer was selected, the customer is deleted if the box is checked.
Date
Receipt entry date.
NOTE: By default, the system displays the work date, but this can be changed.
Invoice No.
Number of the invoice related to the payment.
Cheque No.
Customer’s cheque number.
Sale
Amount of the sale.
NOTE: The system displays the total amounts entered in the Breakdown grid.
Discount
Discount applicable to the sale.
Account: Bank
Bank account to which the deposit will be made.
NOTE: By default, the system displays the Configuration account for the deposit of receipts not linked to an existing customer.
NOTE: For receipts linked to an existing customer, the system displays the account entered in Customer Management. If the field is empty, the system displays the value in Configuration.
Currency
Displays the currency for the selected customer.
NOTE: The field is empty for individual customers.
Discount
Discount account to be used.
NOTE: By default, the system displays the Configuration account.
Type of individual receipt
- 1 – Standard
- 2 – Sales Tax Refund
Used to include or exclude these types of receipts from certain system reports.
All other types of receipts except the type mentioned below.
Receipt linked to a tax receipt.
