Issue Subtype Management

OBJECTIVE

The Issue Subtype Management allows the user to create an issue sub-type in connection with a yard issue type. The use of the sub-types allows greater precision in the categorization of yard issues. It is also possible to number the yard issues in function of the sub-types to which they are linked.

 

PREREQUISITE

• The Service Management module must be installed.
• Define Issue Types

 

Steps

maestro* > Projects > Maintenance > Issue Management > Issue Subtype Management

 

Create an issue sub-type

1. Enter the required information in the Main Fields tab:

Field	Description
Issue Type	Issue type code to which the sub-type will be linked.
Sub-type	Sub-type code
Seq. No. Prefix	Prefix that will be added in front of the number of the sequential numbering. NOTE: This prefix will be used if the value in the Numbering field is «By issue sub-type» in the issue management which the sub-type is linked to.
French Description	French description of the issue sub-type.
Description	English description of the issue sub-type.

2. Click on Save.
