Define Project Type

Objective

The Define Project Types function allows the user to create and manage project types. This function is used to specify the type to which a project belongs in Project Management, making it possible to generate reports by project type. Access to projects can also be limited by the project type.

 

The additional fields created in this window are displayed in projects associated with the type in Project Management.

Define entry options for the Code field.

Default Bonuses and Deductions

Open the Bonuses available in maestro*MOBILE window, allowing the user to configure the available bonuses in maestro*MOBILE for this project type.

NOTE: If the Restrict access to certain bonuses in maestro*MOBILE box is checked, a grid with all the deductions and bonuses appears. Users can then select the ones that must be accessible.

Create a project type

  1. Enter the required information in the Main Fields tab:

Champ Field

Description

Code

Code for the project type.

Description

Description identifying the project type.

Type of Projection

Define the default method to calculate the projection for projects of this type.

Entry level of progress %

Indicates the default precision level of the entry of the progress percentage for this type of project.

NOTE: The entry level can be modified directly in Project Management.

Create Dispatch Project

Indicates if a dispatch project must be created in Dispatch Project Management for projects of this type. ClosedAvailable values:

  1. Payment Discount section:

The user can define a Project, an Activity and a Group to which discounts are imputed by default when transferring the cash receipts for this type of project. For example, a project created only to manage discounts.

The user can also define an Activity –Sale’s Project and a Group –Sale’s Project to impute the discounts to the sale’s project.

 

A project-to-project transaction is automatically created when transferring the cash receipts.

  1. Click Save.
