Correction of maestro*'s Components - Maestro PDF

Objective

If you are planning on updating Microsoft Office or Microsoft Windows to a more recent version, it is recommended to first uninstall maestro* and its components, then reinstall it after the version change.

If, however, you have already performed the Office or Windows version change, certain add-on maestro* programs will have to be corrected to ensure that everything be functional.

Examples:

  • If you installed Microsoft Office after installing maestro*
  • If you changed your Microsoft Office version
  • If you changed your Microsoft Windows version

 

Steps

This add-on program installs the the Maestro PDF printer which is used to print documents in PDF format from maestro*.

  1. Open a command prompt an Administrator (see Appendix A).
  2. In the command prompt, browse to the following directory: 
    • On a 32-bit Windows workstation, browse to directory C:\Program Files\Maestro Technologies\Maestro\Amyuni
    • On a 64-bit Windows workstation, browse to directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Maestro Technologies\Maestro\Amyuni
  3. In the commande prompt, enter or copy/paste the following command (see Appendix B):
    • On a 32-bit Windows workstationCD "C:\Program Files\Maestro Technologies\Maestro\Amyuni"
    • On a 64-bit Windows workstationCD "C:\Program Files (x86)\Maestro Technologies\Maestro\Amyuni"
  4. Click on Enter.
  5. Type Install.exe –u then click on Enter to uninstall the Maestro PDF printer.
  6. Type Install.exe the click on Enter to install the Maestro PDF printer.

 

Appendix

Appendix A - Opening a Command Prompt as Administrator

  1. Press on the Windows key on your keyboard or click on Start to display the menu.
  2. In the search bar, type CMD.
  3. Press on Ctrl + Maj. + Enter to launch the app as Administrator.

 

Appendix B - Pasting Text in a "Pre-Windows 10" Command Prompt

  1. With the mouse, make a right click in the screen.
  2. Select the Paste option.
 

Ctrl + V (Paste) only works under Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or higher when the option is activated.
