Streamlined Activities Management

Objective

The Streamlined Activities Management option allows adding specific activities to a project or batch adding activities to a project. This option also allows adding activities for change orders. Typically, these activities meet a specific need and are not reused elsewhere since they do not come from the project template.

 

Steps

Creating a Streamlined Activity

  1. Enter the Project to which the activity must be applied.
  2. Assign a specific Activity number.
  3. Give a Description to the streamlined activity.
  4. Give an Activity Type to the streamlined activity - either Activity, Division, Phase, or Section.
  5. Indicate the general ledger or group account to which the activity must be charged.
  6. If needed, enter the WBS Number, used to link with the SAP software.
  7. If needed, enter the Type of Follow-Up per activity and group - either Lump Sum or Units.
  8. Indicate if the streamlined activity is in fact a Change Order by checking the box.
  9. The Quantity to Fulfill section allows indicating, if needed, the Unit of an activity for which the type is Units, the Original budgetted quantity, and the quantity to add to the origina one in the Modification field.
  10. Save the changes.
